This will be Coach Schoen’s 5th season as a volunteer coach in the Clackamas High School baseball program. Coach Schoen is a Sam Barlow High School graduate who was a two sport student-athlete. As a senior, he was an all-league pitcher & infielder for the Bruins. After recruitment by numerous Division 1 programs, Pete attended the University of San Diego where he was a four-year member of the nationally ranked baseball team. A two-time West Coast Conference scholar-athlete, his playing career concluded during his senior season due to shoulder surgery. Upon relocating to the Clackamas area, Coach Schoen became involved with the CHS baseball program. Focusing on varsity hitting and infielders, he throws high-level BP and assists Coach Bohlman with infield drills. This season he will continue focusing on infielders and hitters, while also lending some expertise to the pitching staff. Pete also is extensively involved in local youth sports, coaching football, basketball and baseball for the past five years. An Account Executive for Abbott Vascular, Pete and his wife, Jenifer, have been married 17 years. Their twin 10-year olds, Grant and Grace, can be seen around the diamond throughout the season.
A former Cavalier baseball player (1995-1998), Coach Miller will be coaching baseball at Clackamas for his 14th year. Coach Miller started in right field for two years with the Cavs. Not long after his school career ended, he began coaching both football and baseball at CHS. He spent a few years attending Oregon State University before going to work in the family business. Coach Miller has coached at every level while at Clackamas. He will beginning his first year as a volunteer assistant. Miller works primarily with the outfielders. Coach Miller also coaches football at Clackamas High School coaching outside linebackers.
